2025 Round Up: Monthly Furniture Highlights and Team Successes at The Pet Carpenter

2025 Bespoke Pet Furniture Round Up

Looking Back on a Year of Craft, Community and Confidence

2025 has been a year defined by thoughtful design, meaningful collaboration, and a continued commitment to helping pets feel secure within the heart of the home. From ambitious custom builds to industry recognition, partnerships, and personal reminders of why crate confidence matters, each month brought something to be proud of.

Here is our month by month bespoke pet furniture 2025 round up and reflection on, people, and progress that shaped the year.

January 2025: Starting the Year with Education and Ambition

We kicked off 2025 by joining A Dog’s Life with Anna Webb, exploring the benefits of crates for a dog’s wellbeing and how bespoke pet furniture can integrate seamlessly into modern homes.
You can explore the conversation in more detail here.

January also saw a range of exciting commissions, including a beautiful corner desk with two integrated dog bedrooms, and a supersized triple bedroom designed to comfortably support life in a three Husky household.

February 2025: Colour, Craft and Press Features

Dog Crate Furniture Dresser, Bench Seat and Single Dog Bedroom

February began with the delivery of a single dog bedroom finished in De Nimes by Farrow and Ball, paired with Honey Bee soft furnishings, for our friend Gemma Stocks and her French Bulldog at Herbal Dog.

We also loved crafting a supersized Hague Blue dresser for a family kitchen, alongside a delightful summer room bench that combined seating, a dog bedroom, and a coffee table in one elegant piece.

To top it off, we were proud to feature in Devon Life magazine as part of their Pupdates, a lovely moment of regional recognition.

March 2025: Statement Pieces for Family Living

Fitted Pet Furniture and Cupboards in Living Room with Dog

March brought a stunning fitted pet furniture and TV media unit, finished in Inchyra Blue by Farrow and Ball. Designed for an open plan living room and kitchen diner, this piece demonstrated how pet spaces can be fully integrated without compromise, becoming a true focal point of the home.

April 2025: Natural Materials and New Partnerships

Solid Oak Dog Crate Furniture

April saw us working on a number of solid oak dog crate furniture commissions. Oak remains one of our favourite materials to work with, thanks to its durability, timeless appeal, and ease of long term maintenance. You can explore more oak projects here.

We also designed a beautiful cat furniture and bedside table combination, complete with cosy sleeping cubbies for three cats.

This month also marked the start of our partnership with The Dog Trainer School. Together, we aim to support dog owners with expert guidance around training, behaviour, and building crate confidence, alongside thoughtfully designed furniture.

May 2025: Furniture That Supports Real Life

Bespoke Pet Furniture for home office

May brought one of our favourite home office commissions to date, combining a dog bedroom, desk, drawer storage, and a dresser top with shelving and cupboards.

On a more personal note, we were reminded of the true value of crate confidence when Finn injured himself and needed crate rest for recovery. Although now eight years old and rarely needing a closed door, his calm response during recovery was a direct result of positive crate training earlier in life.

We also became affiliates of Kids Around Dogs, supporting their mission to help families and schools create safe, happy environments where children and dogs can thrive together.

June 2025: Industry Recognition and New Faces

PIF innovation Award finalists

In June, we were honoured to be finalists in the Pet Industry Federation Awards 2025, placing fourth among 11 incredible pet businesses, behind Muzzle Movement, PetScribers, and Anivatio.

We also welcomed Lana, our rescue English Setter, into the family and the modelling team, showing off a beautiful solid oak double dog bedroom.

July 2025: Community and Research Milestones

Bespoke Pet Furniture Meets Home Bar Elegance

July included a truly unique home bar and dog bedroom project, complete with fridge storage and elegant curved detailing to the crate door.

We were also proud supporters of Generation Pup, encouraging puppy guardians to take part in this important research. We were delighted to see the study reach its milestone of 10,000 registered dogs.

Harry and Gemma also loved attending Edition Dog Live, meeting dogs, guardians, and fellow pet businesses.

August 2025: Comfort from the Inside Out

Dog lying of bespoke mattress

August marked the launch of our bespoke mattress range, developed in partnership with local businesses Putnams and The Artisan Dog Co. This new option allows clients to elevate comfort inside their pet’s bedroom space.

Gemma also joined Rachel Spencer on Your Pet Business Your Way Podcast, sharing insights into the journey of The Pet Carpenter.

September 2025: Awards and Our Biggest Build Yet

September brought an unforgettable moment as we were crowned Animal Star Awards Winners for Best Pet Related Product 2025.

October 2025: Designing for Every Size and Style

October was filled with more beautiful commissions, including a large scale TV media unit with two extra large dog bedrooms for Labradors, finished in Hague Blue with bespoke hardware.

We also completed a clever TV unit for two Chihuahuas, maximising storage with drawers, cupboards, feeding drawers, and up and over doors, proving that thoughtful design works at every scale.

December was a time for celebration, with commissions featuring integrated wine racks, single dog bedrooms, and supersized dresser pieces designed to bring comfort to humans, dogs, and cats alike.

We closed out the year with a visit from The Dog Trainer School. Filming content and sharing practical guidance on crate introductions and training. It ended, fittingly, with games and fun alongside Finn and Theo.
